A warrior is someone who can meet the uncertainty and fear that arise in life with steadiness and openness.

In this retreat, we will spend time practicing meditation in a natural environment, allowing the mind to settle and open. Through this process, we begin to touch the ground of Basic Goodness—the inherent sanity and warmth within us—and cultivate Fearlessness, the capacity to see reality clearly without being overwhelmed by anxiety or fear.

Over four days of practice together with David, we will explore how meditation can become grounded in everyday life, and how to meet our own minds with greater honesty and gentleness.

Optional Program | Kyoto Extension

November 3 – November 5 (Optional)

This optional post-retreat extension offers an intimate visit to Kyoto, traveling together with David and the True Nature team.

Additional Fee

  • Shared Room: JPY 150,000 (Approx. USD $970)

  • Single Room: JPY 200,000 (Approx. USD $1,300)

Payments are processed in Japanese Yen (JPY).

  • Group transportation from Kaga Onsen to Kyoto

  • Hotel accommodation (2 nights)

  • Group meals (lunch and dinner)

  • One-day guided bus tour in Kyoto

  • David Nichtern accompanying the group throughout

Capacity

This retreat is limited to 50 participants.
Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once capacity is reached, applicants will be placed on a waiting list.

Travel

The retreat venue, Morinotsumika, is located in the Kaga Onsen area of Ishikawa Prefecture.
The nearest station is JR Kagaonsen Station, approximately a 10-minute taxi ride from the venue.

By Shinkansen (from Tokyo)

Direct Hokuriku Shinkansen service is available to Kagaonsen Station.
Travel time from Tokyo Station is approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes.

Nearest Airport

Komatsu Airport (KMQ) is the nearest airport to the venue, approximately a 25–30 minute drive from Morinotsumika.
Scheduled flights to Komatsu are most commonly available from Haneda Airport (HND).

Detailed travel information will be shared with registered participants prior to the retreat.

  • U.S. passport holders do not require a visa for short-term stays in Japan.
